Lead .NET Developer +(various opportunities in Amsterdam)

*I have several other .NET vacancies in Amsterdam, so please mention this if you would like information about the others too.

In Amsterdam there’s a software company you probably haven’t heard of, but the likes of Microsoft, Citrix, VMware, Dell, Umbrella Corporation, have all heard of them, to the point that they consider their software as the benchmark industry standard. So, they’re kind of a big deal.

They’re seeking a .NET Chapter Lead/Developer to write fantastic code, make architectural decisions and mentor the more junior members of the team.

As the bespoke software created here is used to monitor other systems (as an example), bottlenecks are the enemy. Due this they are looking for someone with experience and knowledge in how to create high-performance solutions, that are also capable of sustaining high concurrency.

Their products are quite complex, so their expectations of the applicants experience are expectedly specific, for example:

  • An understanding of basic computer-science concepts (data structures, algorithms, and their run-time complexity).
  • A solid understanding of the fundamentals of .NET (this includes concurrency mechanisms as well as the relation of allocations and the GC and its impact on performance).
  • Being familiar with TypeScript and willing to work on the front-end as well is important. The degree to which you involve yourself in the front-end development is up to you, but they expect that you are at least able to understand and fix issues that might be caused by the changes in back-end behavior.

They’re willing to pay up to €6500/month plus benefits such as holiday allowance, pension, new laptop etc, the usual Dutch frills.
